“Continental pure contact LS 245/40r19. The inner sidewall of the rear passenger tire disintegrated while traveling after approximately 5 hours. The speed at blowout was 80mph. 2 inches of the bottom of the tire was still attached to the rim but no other sidewall remained. There was several seconds of vibration before the car suddenly swerved to the left and then the right before gaining control. This tire was manufactured 19/18 in Portugal and is not part of the tire sidewall blowout recall. Dot AF A6 WD60. The tires were properly inflated with only 19,652 miles since installation.”
