“When I drive in alloys mode the system jerky and engine makes noise or hangs and I have to turn it off and on to start it back up to drive. When I drive without alloys on it thugs sporadically as if it is going to drive backward. Per the dealer the engine oil is slugs even thought it had oil change. But this vehicle is scary, I need it but scare of driving it.”

NHTSA complaint #11727579, filed 2026-03

“My car stalled with no precursors. The engine and oil was maintain but the engined stall with out smoke or mixed oil. This error falls directly under the recall for pistion rings that cause engine failure. I brought my vehicle to Archer Kia and after two-three months of waited for the recall repair they stated that they could not repair the failed engine under the recall that causes failed engines.”

NHTSA complaint #11732207, filed 2026-04

“I dropped my car off yesterday and they stated that it did in fact need a new engine. My problem is how come the dealership won’t provide a loaner!? They are telling me that they are unsure when they can get it fixed! People need to go to work!! How can you expect a customer to be ok with this! I’m going to be forced to drive this car! This is completely ridiculous and unsatisfactory!”

NHTSA complaint #11655613, filed 2025-04

“I've had issues with my air conditioner not working properly and now making a loud humming sound. Also my car is very sluggish and my motor is very loud when the car is running. Sometimes it doesn't want to shift exactly when it should it takes longer and I have to take my foot off the gas to let it shift. My car keeps running out of oil every time before the designated oil change time and mileage. …”

NHTSA complaint #11654362, filed 2025-04

“I had this car go to the garage back in February under the 2021-2023 Seltos and Soul engine recall. The engine was fine but the check engine light is has been on since MARCH. I personally believe this was software related as I had MULTIPLE technicians verify the sensor and wiring is still in top shape. My OBD2 Reader shows the engine is pulling a large amount of retarded timing and it only happens under acceleration.”
