“When filling up the car with gas.. The gas will not flow at a fast rate. You have to pump the gas very slow or it will over flow; the pump will cut off; or it will spit out gas. This is every time you go to the gas station. The vehicle is stopped; turned off and no electronic devices are being used. I have tried different angles on the nozzle but its the same or will not work. I have also tried different gas stations but no luck. I have requested to get this fixed and it was told to me its not on recall. I have had several cars and have never experience this before. …”

NHTSA complaint #11407537, filed 2021-04, 80,000 miles

“I checked the car for a pre trip inspection, and noticed the oil dipstick smelled of gas. Towed it to a service center where they were not able to confirm what was the cause as there are no warning lights and fuel injectors tested good. They drained and flushed oil, but the issue did not resolve. Concerned this issue is the same issue as other cars of the same model but different year have been recalled for, I am reporting the issue.”

NHTSA complaint #11536200, filed 2023-08

“The contact owns a 2016 Land Rover Discovery Sport. The contact stated that while his wife was driving approximately 40 MPH, the check engine warning light illuminated. The contact stated his wife had taken the vehicle to an independent mechanic who diagnosed the vehicle and determined that the high-pressure fuel pump was failing and needed to be replaced. The contact was informed by the mechanic that there was a recall related to the failure, NHTSA Campaign Number: 17V490000 (Fuel System, Gasoline), and referred the contact to a dealer. …”
