“Hello- I am not positive if this is the exact location to be sending this. I am a witness to a defect or a malfunction while driving a 5 month old 2006 Land Rover LR3. While driving on the highway in the mountains of colorado, my car's brakes locked up while driving around 68 MPH. This caused me to skid to a complete stop on the highway. However, while coming to a stop my seat belt did not engage, causing me to hit my head and tear muscles in my back, which I had checked out at the doctor. …”

My rear tailgate would not open is controlled by an electronic actuator....so I looked in the owners manual to see where the manual release is....guess what there is not one...so if this little cable brakes that is attached to the rear tailgate actuator..there is no way to manual open the tailgate from inside or outside of the vehicle. After looking on the internet at various Land Rover forums..I have found this to be a problem on LR3's. …”
