“Uneven tire wear at 9000 miles. Loud noise in cabin. I contacted the dealer to check the alignment as there is a TSB on this and was told the goodyear tires are just not good I have never seen a tire wear only on the inside edge because the tire is bad. Looks related to the air suspension and toe to me. But they wont fix it, they told me to go buy new tires. I just paid 55k for the truck and 6 mos later they want me to buy good tires????”
NHTSA complaint #10183469, filed 2007-02, 8,000 miles“I began to notice a rattling noise coming from underneath the driver's side, while driving at any speed. After a week, the suspension fault light came on. I was told the suspension compressor needed to be replaced, so I went ahead with the repairs at a cost of $1600. When I picked up the vehicle and tested the suspension, it would not raise into off road height. It lowered fine, but when I put it in normal height, only the rear would raise. It also took a lot longer than usual. I didn't even get it out of the shop parking lot before the suspension fault light lit up again. …”
NHTSA complaint #10599080, filed 2014-06, 103,000 miles“I purchased a 2006 Land Rover LR3 se in dec. 2005. It has approx. 13k miles and I was about to rotate the tires when I noticed that the inside tread on both rear tires had worn completely through exposing the steel belts while the outside portion of the tread was not worn at all. It appeared to have a significant camber misalignment on both rear wheels. It was so dangerous, I called roadside assistance to tow the vehicle instead of driving and risk blowing the tire on the way to the dealership. …”
NHTSA complaint #10170074, filed 2006-10, 13,400 miles“I had my landrover LR3 vehicle serviced at the alexandria, va while at this dealership I requested to have service which I discovered was issued through a landrover manufacture's bulletin completed also. On october 23, 2007, my vehicle was brought into the bethesda, md landrover dealership for servicing, including the maintenance work, repair of the brake lights and repair of the sunroof. The dealership stated that I needed replacement tires and an alignment I questioned the logic of the tires prematurely wearing. I decided to research the matter further. …”
NHTSA complaint #10219304, filed 2008-02, 19,000 miles“My wife owns a 2006 Land Rover LR3. The vehicle is less than 1 year old, and the rear tires are bald. They have approximately 16,000 miles of use. This is clearly a problem with either the car or the tires, and the dealership acknowledged that it was a problem with the alignment of the vehicle. I am concerned because my vehicle was in for a regular service a month ago, and Land Rover neither mentioned the problem nor took any action to correct the defect. Now that the tires are gone, Land Rover is fixing the problem and replacing the tires. …”
