Example complaints

Selected from NHTSA records; personal details are removed. They are consumer reports, not findings.

“Back-up camera malfunctions periodically. They tried to fix it, but it is still happening. When I put it in reverse, it says cameras not available. It creates a risk for me as I am used to parallel parking using it, or when I am coming out of my garage, among other places and times. It is unpredictable - sometimes it happens several times a day, then it doesn't happen for a few days. There must be a way to fix this for good. It has never happened with several other cars I used for a long time.”

NHTSA complaint #11720597, filed 2026-02

“The vehicle headlight at the low beam has a shadow with a notch, causing a distraction during driving. The shadow distracts during driving and takes the attention off the driver, causing hazardous situations for the driver and others around the car. Diagnosed with the dealer and recommended filing a complaint with the manufacturer for design issues. I would like to report to NHTSA for awareness and safety issues - This is a serious issue and could cause collision due to poor design and driver distraction”
