“I purchased my vehicle in Feb, 2022. In April, I was stopped at a red light and the automatic brake hold feature enabled. I pressed the gas and nothing happened. The vehicle went from Drive to Neutral. Had to put vehicle in Park and then put in drive. Again in May, 2022, it happened twice in one day. Stopped at stop sign vehicle went from Drive to Neutral. Called service - was told it was a computer update . June 2022, I was driving down a street and the automatic emergency brake enabled for no reason whatsoever. I had the computer update in June, 2022. …”
NHTSA complaint #11472476, filed 2022-07“On several occasions the vehicle shifted by itself from D to N. Leaving you stuck until you shifted into P then back to D. However, while at the stop light, the accelerator pedal was depressed but the vehicle failed to respond. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact noticed that the transmission was in neutral (N). The contact shifted into park(P) and then shifted into drive(D). …”

As has happened on other occasions, when attempting to proceed forward from a stop, the transmission had changed to Neutral. The shifter position could not be changed without shutting off the car and turning it back on. All the while people behind are blaring their horns and oncoming traffic is resuming. This problem has occurred on numerous other occasion, most often when stopped at a stop light. …”
