Example complaints

Selected from NHTSA records; personal details are removed. They are consumer reports, not findings.

“On March 18, 2026, while I was driving, the engine overheated. The coolant warning was hidden behind another alert on the instrument display, so I had no usable warning before a near engine failure. I had to pull over and the vehicle was towed to the dealer, where a coolant leak was confirmed and repaired. This is a recurring coolant system defect. …”

NHTSA complaint #11772737, filed 2026-10

“After coming to a complete stop at an intersection, I looked left-right-left before proceeding across the intersection. At the time I began to cross the intersection my vehicle seemingly did not accelerate as normal, causing my vehicle to be hit on the right driver side panel, spun around, and ripping the entire front end of my car off. Injuries were sustained and the vehicle may be a total loss.”

NHTSA complaint #11745341, filed 2026-06

“We purchased the vehicle new January 2023 and we drove for a couple of months without any issue, suddenly after filling the gas tank on Monday 4/10/2023 we noticed that the gas gauge dropped significantly after about an hour of drive time, later that evening the garage began smelling like gas through out the night without any leaks. The next day taking kids to school the smell was very bad in the car that we were all light headed during the 30 minutes drive time and had to pull over to inspect the vehicle for fuel leaks and could not observe any leaks. …”
