NHTSA complaint #10617247, filed 2014-07, 15,000 miles“The contact owns a 2006 Lexus es330. While driving at low speeds of 10 MPH during a rain storm, the contact heard a loud, unusual pop and noticed the passenger side mirror had shattered. The dealer replaced the mirror at the owners expense. On a separate occasion, while traveling through the exact same area as the initial failure, the failure occurred a second time. The vehicle was not repaired. The VIN was not available. The approximate failure mileage was 52,000 and the current mileage was 52,200.”
