Example complaints

2006: “The steering wheel locked up while coming off the highway. I had to pull over to side of the road and eventually have the car towed. The steering wheel is still locked this day. I can't turn it left or right. I could have gotten into a accident with the sudden lost of power steering to my vehicle”

NHTSA complaint #11351924, filed 2020-08, 196,000 miles

2013: “The struts are failing (leaking) and this is a known problem across the internet. Also, the door lock actuators stop working periodically. And finally, the rear defroster stoped working. I've owned much cheaper cars with well over 100,000 miles and never experienced these problems. This car only has 82,000 and well taken care of as I have another car that I lease and the Lexus is usually in the garage.”

NHTSA complaint #11322332, filed 2020-04, 82,000 miles

2007: “Both headlights went out while driving in the rain at night. I am told this is a very common problem, water gets into the sealed head lamp and shorts out the balist. I was almost hit as another car pulled out in front of me before I realized both head lights had shorted out. They turn back on once reset but go out with out warning.”
