“On 9/29/2017 while turning left at night in a dark road all interior and exterior lights went out. We crashed into wall beside the city street and our car was totaled. We filed a claim with Lexus at that time. A recall notice for this problem came in december. On december 22,2017, Lexus stated in letter from their legal department that Lexus had no responsibility. They were able to start the car and turn on the lights on november 14, 2017 when an inspection of the vehicle was made. The urgent safety recall described what we experienced. …”

NHTSA complaint #11056580, filed 2017-12, 66,780 miles

“Condensation suddenly building up within headlamp assembly. Possible cause by faulty gaskets around headlamp. Condensation can build up and cause electrical failure with vehicle. Spoke with Lexus they admit they have had a problem with rx350 but will not acknowledge an issue with hs250h.”

NHTSA complaint #10562907, filed 2014-02, 95,500 miles

“I cannot hear the turn signal of my Lexus. I have reasonable hearing and can hear the turn signal of all other cars that I can drive. Lexus engineers have designed the tone of the turn signal such that people like me cannot hear it. As a result, I leave the turn signal on longer than necessary. Other drivers then will disregard my turn signal. This could lead to an accident. My wife can hear to turn signal so it is probably working as designed.”
