“I am the second owner of this Lexus hs250 purchased 7/2020 it had a recalled hybrid transaxle replaced 7/2018, by the previous owner. However on 8/11/2020 upon starting the car and driving just 4000 the hybrid battery failed and needs to be replaced. I have read that the previous recall is to blame for the hybrid battery failing prematurely and short circuiting this battery replacement should also be covered by the manufacturer.”

This lunging occurs when the vehicle is in drive while using the foot-break (such as at a stop light). It also occurs when in park with the emergency break on. The lunging has also occurred when I've started the vehicle and have sat idle (in park with the emergency break on) for a few moments before putting the car in gear. Initially I thought it was movement caused by the gas engine automatically shutting off, but have ruled this out after paying close attention to each incident. …”
