NHTSA complaint #11090024, filed 2018-04, 100,000 miles

“Vehicle currently has 65k miles. Within last 1,000 miles, began noticing noises coming from brake actuator. Noise has become more noticeable. Today, on 12/15/2016, while driving, I was required to brake suddenly, and vehicle was not as responsive as needed. This almost caused an accident. I called the local Lexus dealership, and they are not aware of any current recalls - this needs to be looked into soon, before the failure of the brake actuator causes an accident.”

I coast down the road and upon breaking again the whole car shakes making steering and especially turning very difficult. …”

“Purchased a 2007 Lexus LS460 on march 5th, got a prepurchase inspection and there are multiple things that have gone wrong. The latest repair needed is the fuel pressure sensor, costs approx $1525 at the dealer. I contacted Lexus to see if this would be part of the recall and case manager amanda deantonio stated that based on the miles, age and my service history, loyalty to Lexus, they can not assist me with getting this repair done. I am awaiting a supervisor to call me back regarding the repair that I believe should be covered under the fuel pressure sensor leak, elf campaign. …”
