Example complaints

Selected from NHTSA records; personal details are removed. They are consumer reports, not findings.

“My car suffered complete engine failure at 25,522 miles. Lexus claims that it is not in the VIN range of the recall. However, it is the exact same problem all other 2022-2023 LX600 are experiencing and being recalled for. Lexus is clearly minimizing the extent of the engine failure issue and my VIN is also part of the problem.”

NHTSA complaint #11657597, filed 2025-04

“I have had several incidents of having to accelerate quickly and the engine stalled out. i reported it to the dealership and they claimed they could not recreate it and sent me on my way. Now that there is a supposed recall I would like to get my motor replaced or at least scheduled asap”

NHTSA complaint #11606064, filed 2024-08

“I am filing this complaint regarding the handling of Safety Recall 25LA07 (NHTSA Recall ID 25V767) affecting my 2023 Lexus LX600. On January 2, 2026, I delivered the vehicle to the authorized Lexus dealer in Ponce, Puerto Rico, in response to the recall, which identifies potential engine knocking, rough running, engine no-start, and/or loss of motive power. These conditions represent serious safety risks. Since that date, the vehicle has remained at the dealership. …”

NHTSA complaint #11719523, filed 2026-02

“I am writing to report a concern regarding an unresolved safety recall for my 2023 Lexus LX 600. Lexus notified us of this recall on November 6, 2025. However, nearly four months later, the company continues to state on its website that no remedy is currently available. Given the significant purchase price of this vehicle—exceeding $100,000—I find it unacceptable that a resolution has not yet been provided. I respectfully request that this matter be reviewed and that appropriate action be taken to ensure a timely and effective remedy for affected customers.”

NHTSA complaint #11722018, filed 2026-03

“My car has had a rough idle off and on for 1 year. What is really scary is that 2 times in the last two weeks I have lost engine acceleration when pulling into traffic.”
