Example complaints
Engine: “My car suffered complete engine failure at 25,522 miles. Lexus claims that it is not in the VIN range of the recall. However, it is the exact same problem all other 2022-2023 LX600 are experiencing and being recalled for. Lexus is clearly minimizing the extent of the engine failure issue and my VIN is also part of the problem.”
NHTSA complaint #11657597, filed 2025-04Engine cooling: “The contact owns a 2023 Lexus LX 600. The contact stated that the rearview back up camera image displayed a distorted image. Another issue, the vehicle intermittently stalled when at a complete stop and going to accelerate. The vehicle was contacted; however, the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the issue. The approximate failure mileage was 41,000.”
NHTSA complaint #11740096, filed 2026-05, 41,000 milesFuel system: “my problem occurs intermittenly, it occurs when i am idling at a stop. when i have to accelerate from the stop the car will lurch forward and die for approximately 3 seconds. It will then restart and drive normally, however the stopping in the middle of oncoming traffic is potentially life threatening. It has occurred approx 8 times since i bought the car in June 2023. I had the ECO recall done and it also occurred shortly after that. I have taken it back to the dealer and they could not recreate the problem. It occurs after idling and waiting and then accelerating quickly to merge.”
NHTSA complaint #11656526, filed 2025-04Air bags: “The contact owns a 2023 Lexus LS 600. The contact received notifications of NHTSA Campaign Numbers: 25V767000 (ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING), 26V18000 (SEATS, AIR BAGS); however, the parts to do the recall repairs were not yet available. The local dealer was contacted and confirmed that parts were not yet available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repairs. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure.”
