“Driver's side air bag light stays on, flashes, or is off intermittently. I have taken it to a mechanic and been told that the connector was loose and they zip-tied the wiring in place. They said if that doesn't work that new support assembly for the airbag will need to be installed. That would be over $2,000, which seems like a pretty egregious amount to fix a loose wire for a critical safety item.”

The car was purchased dec 16, 2006 from magnussen Lexus in fremont, ca. It currently has about 7000 miles. The problem started soon after the purchase, in april 2007 the air bag light came on and stayed on. We took the car to the dealer to get it taken care of. The 1st visit to the car dealer (magnussen Lexus of fremont, ca) involved them adjusting the pin connectors to fix what they thought was the right side squib malfunction. The problem reappeared on 20th april 2007. …”
