“It appears to me that the 1992 Lincoln Continental executive series has many problems. I could not even sell it to a used car dealer due to its known defects. Rear air suspension blew out (both at the same time while driving) head gasket in an engine that gets it's oil changed every 3000 miles or so. Front hub assembly ready to fall off. Vehicle is well maintained. Air conditioning that completely became disfunctional.”
NHTSA complaint #744997, filed 2001-05“Message cluster (mc): check dcl warning light activated intermittently. The lc'92 handbook indicated the vehicle was driveable and warning light did not need immediate repair. Shortly thereafter, the gas average consumption/dte group intermittently went out. At 74300, the engine temperature indicator split. A mechanic checked out the engine cooling system. At 74700, the oil pressure gage intermittently went out, but the system check failed to confirm this. The oil dip stick showed full, and there was no leakage around the oil filter. …”
