“The incident occurred in a parking lot, in bright daylight at 4:05 pm. The Lincoln MKT was being driven on an errand to a shopping mall. The driver made a left turn, and stopped for another vehicle backing out of a parking spot. On proceeding to make a right-hand turn into the same parking spot, the vehicle traveling slowly, there was a bump/or jerk and the vehicle accelerated on its own. This is the point of the unintended acceleration, in spite of the driver using the brakes, the vehicle accelerated over the sidewalk and continued into the wall of a cvs drug store. …”

“Turbo has gone out but this makes the second time that this had happened. I have investigated this problem with others and have found the same problem with the turbos! I notice it smokes excessive and was told its a fire hazard and not to drive on highway. This problem occurred while driving on the street when it began losing power to accelerate!”
