“I own a 2018 Lincoln Navigator, 3 months after purchasing the AC stopped working. I brought it in to the dealer and was told that Lincoln had a dried of vehicles which had the wrong refrigerant put in from the factory. Today is the 22nd straight day without my truck because there are supposedly no parts available to fix it. $83,000 SUV!! I even had to hire a lawyer to send them a letter trying to get info on when I am getting my vehicle back. They won't wven answer a lawyer”

NHTSA complaint #11114019, filed 2018-07, 5,000 miles

“The alarm goes off if you lock the vehicle when you are in it with the key. For example, if you are waiting for someone and you lock the door. This causes the alarm to go off, thus drawing attention to you in the vehicle.this leaves you in a very vulnerable position. You are in a very expensive vehicle with the doors unlocked and/or the alarm going off. I spoke to ford and they are refusing to fix it.”

NHTSA complaint #11121076, filed 2018-08, 5,000 miles

“The other weekend, we were unloading the back of the Lincoln when all of a sudden the liftgate came down on us. Fortunately, we were able to back away in time... Later that weekend, my son was unloading the back and it came down and hit him in the head to the point it made him cry (and he is a tough kid at 13)... I have brought up this concern with Lincoln at least 3 or 4 times, and they said it has been fixed, but clearly there is still a safety concern here. The last fix was a new harness they had to install. …”

NHTSA complaint #11749952, filed 2026-07

“The contact owned a 2016 Hyundai Santa Fe. The contact stated that while driving at 40-45 MPH, she was advised to veer to the side of the road as there was a fire underneath the vehicle. There were no warning lights illuminated. The contact stated that she smelled a strong gas odor. The contact veered to the side of the road and quickly exited the vehicle. The contact stated that as she turned around, she saw the vehicle on fire. The contact was able to extinguish the fire with the assistance of the fire department. The contact did not sustain any injuries. A police report was filed. …”

NHTSA complaint #11440925, filed 2021-11, 110,000 miles

“There are no warning indicators or messages. The power mirrors will randomly start adjusting or switching into a position where they start clicking because they're too far over. Even when you try to turn the mirror button off, or close the mirrors and reopen them, the mirror will continue to move. This problem has been continuous for over a year with no problems identified otherwise. This is a major safety concern as the mirrors are required to navigate and see passing traffic or obstacles.”
