“I have records on the repairs that never fixed anything. All problems still exist with washer and wipers coming on at random times.wipers never work on high speed but work fine in low and intermittant speeds. Egr system has failed also and burnt the hoses up. Vehicle has always had engine miss and power loss in the 2200 - 3000rpm area.”
NHTSA complaint #712056, filed 1999-09“Door ajar warning light and audible alarm do not go off when all doors are closed. Both door switches have been cleaned and replaced at least two times by the dealer. Problem usually reoccurs within a year from replacement. Mild heat/sunlight appears to contribute to the problem. Alarms continue to go off for 1-10 minutes after doors are closed. This may be more of an anti-safety issue, but the audible alarm is very annoying and makes it hard to concentrate on driving.”
NHTSA complaint #717080, filed 2000-01“Intermittently while driving along the windshield wipers come on without command. The dealer and manufacturer have been notified about the problem. The problem has not been corrected. Please provide any further information.”
NHTSA complaint #849409, filed 1999-09“Windshield wipers will intermittently fail or come on by themselves, causing poor visiblity. The part that caused the problem is on recall by two manufactures, but not the manufacturer of this vehicle.”
NHTSA complaint #865956, filed 2000-07“Windshield wipers quit working in the middle of operation. Sometimes after turning off the windshield wipers, windshield wipers continue to operate. The dealer is not aware of this problem.”
