“Tamara recall. I do not understand what could take so long to repair something that could be fatal to a driver. I waited 10months on first repair and now already at 9 months and no information on second recall which is now the drivers side !”

“Takata recall still waiting for permanent replacement, should I continue to drive the vehicle ? Is Mazda corp. Required to give me alternate transportation while I wait for new air bags ?”

NHTSA complaint #11092389, filed 2018-05

“Takata recall - Mazda recall number 9116a, NHTSA recall number 16v-048 I was informed by letter about this recall well over a year ago, but the status still remains recall incomplete, remedy not yet available . My dealership cannot advise if or when parts will be available. I am very concerned because it was a Mazda b2300 series pickup a year newer than mine which blew up and killed a person, initiating this recall of both Mazda and ford ranger branded Mazda pickups. The failure rate of these inflators increases rapidly with vehicle age.”

NHTSA complaint #10959857, filed 2017-03

The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Numbers: 17V806000, 17V807000, and 23V837000 (Air Bags) however, the dealer had refused to complete the recall due to the air bags that had inflated during a crash. The contact stated that the manufacturer refused to honor the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The contact had experienced a failure. The contact stated while driving at approximately 20 MPH and as he was turning to the left, he did not observe that another vehicle was crossing his path. …”
