“Takata recall: I have been waiting since july 2016 for replacement airbags. I have called dealers and never receive a call back to repair my vehicle. They claim the bags are unavailable.”
NHTSA complaint #11035357, filed 2017-10, 120,000 miles“My vehicle was involved in a front end crash that hit another vehicle on the front passenger side. My sustained enough front end damage to knock the engine off one of its motor mounts and was a total loss but the air bags never deployed. 08 Mazda CX-9.”
NHTSA complaint #10297363, filed 2009-12, 22,500 miles“The airbags warning light just came on a couple days for my car and I took it the Mazda dealer to diagnose and they said the passenger airbags and the sas module need to be replaced but warranty safety is only up to 60000 miles. My car has 76998 miles. But this is a safety issue and Mazda has lots problem with airbags recalls.”
NHTSA complaint #11206917, filed 2019-05“Takata recall. I received Mazda's safety recall notice on 12/12/2016. In december 2016, I took the recall letter to my local Mazda dealer in bitburg, germany. As of august 31, 2017, Mazda europe is still not able to receive parts to repair the car. My local Mazda dealership told me to wait until I received another notice and then return with the car. I have not received a second notice as of august 31, 2017.”
NHTSA complaint #11020871, filed 2017-08“Received recall notice for passenger side air bad in july 2016, and have made three attempts to have the repair done, each time I have been told the parts are not available. In august 2017, I received another recall notice for the final repair using a modified inflator... . I am disappointed with the response I've received and will try again, however I don't think a year long wait for an air bag replacement is reasonable or acceptable.”
