NHTSA complaint #11666798, filed 2025-06

“The contact owns a 2024 Mazda CX-90. The contact stated while driving the same day the vehicle was purchased, the message Telematics Malfunction was displayed. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, where the message was cleared; however, the failure persisted. Additionally, the contact became aware that the VIN was included in NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V718000 (Back Over Prevention, Forward Collision Avoidance, Lane Departure). The contact stated that while driving, the images of the front-view, side-view, and rear-view cameras failed to appear on the center display intermittently. …”

NHTSA complaint #11572115, filed 2024-02, 8,500 miles

“The parking cameras will fail to activate unexpectedly when backing up or if the cameras are activated using the manual button. The issue is similar to what is described in Mazda Safety Recall 6223J: Images of the front-, side-, and rear-view cameras may flicker and, in some cases, may no longer appear on the center display monitor. Improper processing logic in the view monitor camera control module may cause image deterioration. Loss of front-, side-, and rear-view camera images when in reverse and/or using the 360-degree monitor can increase the risk of a crash. …”

NHTSA complaint #11733208, filed 2026-04

“The “360 View Camera” image periodically goes blank, providing no image, just a blank screen with the colored lines showing vehicle and wheel direction. So when the car is put in reverse or forward, no image of the surroundings are visible. This will not resolve until the vehicle is turned off for an extended period. (An immediate restarting of the car will not resolve.) This car has had the other camera recall addressed and another camera TSB addressed. The issue continues to occur at random, unpredictable times. It has perhaps occurred 10-11 times.”
