NHTSA complaint #11726858, filed 2026-03“Sometime around Dec 2025 I noticed the headlights would flicker from time to time producing inconsistent and unsatisfactory illumination in front the vehicle and at times causing a blinding effect to oncoming drivers. The vehicle was taken to the Mazda dealership where they loaded some software in an attempted fix and stated that if that didn’t fix the problem, they would have to order the headlight switch and I would need to reschedule the vehicle back for the replacement. It took a few more months before I noticed the problem wasn’t fix. …”

This car has very bright light for low beam and since low beam projection tilt down and stuck there while you r driving this make situation so dangerous in night. Light low beam depth(till where it illuminates the road) is so bad it makes you blind and wont be able to judge where the road solid line going to turn. I almost ran into road divider Mazda dealer saying they don’t have solution and mazda has to provide it. I had this in writing when last went for servicing”
NHTSA complaint #11584367, filed 2024-04“Headlights will appear to flicker during lite rain. Light reflected off of objects flicker. On coming traffic interpret the flickering as flashing lights trying to signal an emergency. This is caused by the location of the projector headlight light path being directly under the seam where the hood meets the fenders. During rain water is directed right in the path of the narrow beam beam thrown by the optics used to project the light in front of the cat. As water drips the beams of light are deflected sideways. …”
