“The lane-keeping assist only intermittently works. On occasion it will alert and take corrective action, but even on sunny days with clearly demarcated lanes, it often does nothing. In researching this issue, there are several other owners who have experienced this and have said the mercedes service has unofficially acknowledged there is a batch of VIN numbers which have faulty sensors. We purchased this car because of the safety features and mercedes needs to do something to rectify this in order to keep its customers safe.”
NHTSA complaint #11162257, filed 2018-12, 106,000 miles“Water has accumulated into the spare wheel well twice causing my ad blue module to be submerged in water, making the system faulty, which then disables the car for use. I have a vehicle that can not start and a repair bill of over 20,000 due to the water accumulation issue. There is a separate recall on other models for this exact problem. This model needs to be included as well.”
