“I was driving 70 MPH on I-80 highway when my car completely shut down. The speedometer went from 70 down to 10 MPH in about 2 seconds. There was no warning, no lights, bells, or signals to warn me that my fuel pump needed to be replaced. I had to cut across three lanes of traffic with no power, and almost got hit by a tractor trailer who had to immediately swerve off the road. I could not restart the car, and had to be pushed by a nj state officer to get to the shoulder. …”
NHTSA complaint #10909354, filed 2016-09, 145,000 miles“While driving on the freeway at approximately 60 MPH, the vehicle randomly shut-off with no warnings whatsoever, including all the internal electronics (e.g. Navigation, dashboard). After 1 second, the vehicle restarted all by itself. The clock inside the vehicle kept on circling back and forth as if some lightning hit it or something, and it was very scary, since there were many cars on the freeway.”
NHTSA complaint #11088933, filed 2018-04, 153,000 miles“Vehicle will not change gear and become sluggish with terrible fuel consumption. Tried fuel treatment, problem gets better then return. The problem is intermittent.”
