“My wife and I were driving on the highway and the right molding on the front window flew off the car.(it is called the a pillar.) it shot back, banging against the side of the car dented the door. When we got to our destination I looked and the bolts were still in the frame, but the molding was gone. The next day I went to the dealer (coconut creek Mitsubishi in coconut creek, florida) to ask if this was normal. They of course said no. I asked what they would do to get it replaced. …”

“Convertible top around back glass window in convertible top of my 2001 Mitsubishi spyder eclipse is comming apart. Window is getting ready to fall out. Upon callinga repair shop, bay auto glass in daphne alabama, they tell me they see this a lot in this car and the only way to fix it is to replace the whole convertible top estimate of $1050.00!! Window could infact come loose while driving - where it would go or damage it would do, I do not know. If someone was riding in the back seat - I suppose it could hit them in the head or face or fly out and hit a vehicle following.”
