“Engine completely failed at 75000 miles. Records kept and maitained according to manufacturer. They would not replace it. I had to 1300+ to get it fixed. Now I have been told I need a new head gasket and I know it had been replaced 2 times since I have had it. I am having major problems with the brake system. I have had 2 new sets of rotors put on, rotors turned numerous times and it still shakes badly. Need to have them recall this problems, cause everyone I have talked to has the same problem.”

NHTSA complaint #723179, filed 2000-05

“I have had to replace 3 brand new batteries which were still under warranty, because they were totally drained. I believe there is something wrong with the electrical system. There is nothing that I have done that should have caused the batteries to die. The blower on the air conditioner/heat doesn't work and the dealer states that they can't find anything wrong with it. The cover of the passenger side airbag is prying up from the dashboard. I have had the brakes replace 2 times all ready and now all the rotors are warped and need to be replaced. …”

NHTSA complaint #732353, filed 2000-09

“Problem has been on going for 2.5 months. Dealer has had car for over a month and has been unable to diagnos or cure the problem. I've spent hundreds if not thousands of dollars on fixes that they have recommended. None have worked and their corporate has not given me any support in this matter. When the failure occurs the car's engine shuts off with no warning. Power steering and brakes go out rendering the vehicle a hazard to myself and all other drivers around my on busy hwys. If there is any assistance that your organization can provide me I would greatly appreciate it! …”

NHTSA complaint #753065, filed 2001-10

“Sunroof does not close completely by motor, and need allan wrench to close it; power door locks do not work; window glass rattles and is loose at weatherstrip; fuel vapors smelled periodically, particularly on hot days; horn works intermittently; A/C compressor bearing failed; burns oil (mechanic said needs valve job); brake rotors overheat constantly, causing vibration during braking. Have had them resurfaced numerous times and replaced once.”

NHTSA complaint #721573, filed 2000-04

“Rotors on the vechile continue to warp because the brakes are overheating. Rotors and pads have been replaced at least (6) or (7) times since purchasing the vehicle on 7/8/95. Calipers, rotors and pads replaced on 2/21/96 at 34,000 miles.”
