NHTSA complaint #11154185, filed 2018-11, 58,300 miles“Over night, my battery died. When I tried to turn the car on, the windshield whispers would go crazy, radio would turn on, but not the car. Purchased a new battery, car is only 3 yrs old. The new battery is being drained now. When the car is off, the radio turns on and off by itself, the fog lights strobe, and there is a beeping noise. The dealership teased everything and found that it is the ecu (electrical control unit) which is on recall for my make, year, and model, but not for my car based off the VIN. …”

NHTSA complaint #11508210, filed 2023-02“My electrical system and/or computer brain is not operating properly. About a year and 1/2 ago the low beam passenger light stopped working. I had the bulb replaced at Walmart. 2 months later it went out again. Walmart checked and said the bulb was not the problem so I went to Firestone and was told the wiring was melted. Firestone said my options were to replace the entire harness or pig tail the low beam. I opted for the pig tail. A few months later I had issues with slow starts as if my battery was being drained. …”
