“I was parking my car and my foot was firmly on the brake. Just as I was going to shift my car into park, the engine revved and the car surged forward I was unable to stop the car, in spite of braking. The car jumped the curb in the parking lot and ended up stopping on top of a landscaping boulder. This stopped the car from moving forward as the front of the car was on top of the rock, but the engine was still revving as I put the car in park and turned off the ignition. Transmission pan and engine cradle damaged by collision. …”

“I do not have an auto light function on the vehicle but the lights will randomly come on, even though the switch is turned to off. When this happens my turn signals do not work at all. I took the vehicle to the dealership since it is under warranty, but because the lights and turn signals were working at that moment they did not do anything because they could not diagnose a problem (despite my specifics about what was occurring and the dangers driving with no turn signals poses). Initially this only happened when I started the car, but now it will happen randomly when I am driving. …”

“I went to roll my drivers window up and the glass fell into the door, I took it to the local Mitsubishi dealership and the fixed it but the windows both roll up of the and seem to be off the allignment. They sound like they will break because the motor continues to roll up with the window all the way up already. Huge huge issue!”

“Turn signals do not shut off after turn. Must turn off manualy. And sometimes head lights come on when turn signals are on.. Same problem when changing lanes on a highway..”

NHTSA complaint #10810482, filed 2015-12

“The contact owns a 2014 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport. The contact stated that the vehicle failed to start. The contact replaced the battery; however, while driving, the vehicle jerked and hesitated to respond upon depressing the accelerator pedal. The traction control warning light and an unknown warning light were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was diagnosed that the map sensor needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure recurred while driving. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer but was not diagnosed nor repaired. …”
