“On random when driving on several occasions my headlight will go out. Both at the same time. This morning while driving on the highway to work, the lights both just went completely out leaving me in the dark. I had to drive with my brights on for safety. The second problem in the acceleration, you can push the gas but it is has no power to go and hesitate.”
NHTSA complaint #11318114, filed 2020-03, 61,036 miles“Anytime when I'm driving my vehicle I have to continuously release my foot off the gas pedal for it to attempt to shift into the next gear otherwise it continues to rev up the rpms. Also I parked my car turned it off and as I was getting out of the vehicle it the vehicle made a sound as it was trying to start but was struggling. Then it stopped. While driving the steering wheel shakes when braking”
NHTSA complaint #11151203, filed 2018-11, 68,000 miles“My vehicle does not accelerate at times and its an issue while driving. I want to avoid getting into an accident and I do not know if its an engine or transmission issue.”
NHTSA complaint #11301883, filed 2020-01, 94,000 miles“Ever sense I have purchased this vehicle it has had a noise in the front. It sounds as if it is coming from the control arm. When it started getting worse I called to tell the guy I bought it from and he said there was a lot of people thinking this, but it is just a noise from the bottom of the car. This only happens in reverse and it sounds like a popping noise coming from the bottom passenger tire. I will have this looked at hopefully on thursday. Also, I have a smell of gas coming from the engine when it either idles or is driven for a long period of time. …”
NHTSA complaint #10905886, filed 2016-09, 16,000 miles“I have a 2016 Mitsubishi outander 2wd. I noticed as I'm driving the RPM needle is jumping up and down. Also I'm losing power as I'm driving. Sometimes the RPM goes all the way to 4 before it shifts. I almost got hit in the back because it lost speed while going about 60mph and then it drop speed. I did some research and found out about the recall but for some reason theirs no recall based on my VIN#. I don't understand why. Its only 36,000 miles”
