“Rear suspension failed while I was sitting in parked car. I heard a pop and then felt the back of the suv drop low to the ground. Had it towed to Nissan dealer and was told the pop noise I heard was the air bag for the rear suspension. There was no warning for this issue. I had to replace the entire rear suspension for 1500 dollars.”
NHTSA complaint #11460562, filed 2022-04“While driving car on highway the rear felt like it was going one way while I was steering another. Took to dealer that just replaced rear suspension on 2/23/22. They saw that the rear tires were worn on the inside to the point of exposed wires. The tires checked out fine on 2/23/22 which indicates an issue on their end. They could not get the rear to align, tried to sell me rear tires (which weren't bad before they worked on the rear suspension).”
NHTSA complaint #11460565, filed 2022-04“Bought this vehicle in 12/23. Problems with battery drainage, electrical problems, vehicle won't start and then it will. Bought a new battery in 2/25 same problems happening. This is a defect in this vehicle. Steering failure. System won't connect to my phone. Had alternator checked battery check consistently so many times. There should be a recall on this truck. I have been stranded so many times. I consistently pay my payments on time and never been late. I didnt expect to run into these problems with this vehicle. This is not good for nobody to go through with this unreliable vehicle.”
NHTSA complaint #11767183, filed 2026-09“The rear end air suspension stopped working and will not raise the vehicle to the proper height. This caused the vehicle to become unstable in the rear and difficult to fully control the vehicle. With a wet road it becomes much worse as the rear end will lose contact with the road even at a much lower reduced speed. I've noticed several other Armada's with sagging rear ends and I've read several threads online with owners. After experiencing this first hand as a CDL-A driver. This is very dangerous and Nissan doesn't appear to care one bit about this issue with their high end product. …”
NHTSA complaint #11609225, filed 2024-08“The vehicle displays a BCI malfunction, AEB braking warning, and traction control indicator light is on. Vehicle does not recognize that the brake pedal is being depressed when trying to start the car. Pushing the start button only cycles the ignition through the on and acc options. Rear suspension suddenly low.”
