Example complaints

Selected from NHTSA records; personal details are removed. They are consumer reports, not findings.

“Third brake failure! Brake lights come on and brakes are grating/grinding. Not the same issue as before- no shaking. I was not able to brake. If I turn off the car and wait 15 min.- the issue is resolved. The dealership has looked at it and noted no problem . Unless it occurs when they have it, they cannot solve it. The last failure occurred on the highway to illinois and lasted 20 minutes. Had to restart the car several times before the waiting period worked and the brakes worked again. This is not poor brake maintenance. This is an inherent problem with the '04.”

NHTSA complaint #10200849, filed 2007-08

“Headlights on many new cars SUV and other very blinding when you meet these vechicles.how can you allow such a dangerious lighting on many new viechcles?”
