“Dt: the contact owns a 2000 Nissan Frontier crew cab. The contact's wife was involved in an accident. Driver's side front seat belt did not lock holding the passenger in the seatbelt restraint. The seatbel was locked in the fully extended position. The driver's side airbag deployed so hard tha contac't wife sustained an eye injur and , almost becake completely blind. There was a 90% chance that she will lose her left eye, and about 15% that she may lose her right eye. The contact statesd there were visible blood spots on the air bag where the driver' s eyes were injured. …”

After replace no. 2 on dec. 2000 that one failed to release about 15% of the time until it broke on june10 2000. No. 3 is now on order. The problem is with the sensor inside the belt that turns on the seat belt light. It hangs up and you cannot get out! I have started to carry a knife just in case I have to cut the belt to get out. The longest I:ve fought with it is 15min. Its no fun and I think Nissan has a real problem. I am real sick of fighting to get out of my truck. …”
