“Hello, I have a 2006 Frontier on it's way to the dealership right now having the radiator & transmission replaced. That is caused from the coolant mixing with the transmission. I don't know how Nissan can say this isn't a safety issue when your vehicle can stop in the middle of highway traffic due to your transmission dying. Recall needed! Thank you!”

NHTSA complaint #10511002, filed 2013-05, 97,731 miles

“My Nissan dealer told me I need timing chain guides and it would cost me $1600.00, then I go on line and Nissan new about this problem in 2009. They said if I had 60,000 miles they would have covered this, they new this was going to happen and did not tell me. This is fraud and something should be done about this.this problem is happening all over the country on these vehicles. What are you going to do about this?”

NHTSA complaint #10563028, filed 2014-02, 70,000 miles

“My truck suffers from 2 known problems that has been widely reported and are involved in two Nissan tsbs. I have the faulty fuel sending unit and the whining timing belt tensioner. I am not getting any help from Nissan and just get a flat 'your warranty has expired' statement from them. I feel that they should fix these problems or at least offer a very reduced rate for the repair.”

NHTSA complaint #10432416, filed 2011-10, 90,000 miles

“I bought the truck from a private party. As it was not registered, I have not tried. I subsequently overview, that the transmission was not normal. I looked at the worst default of the Frontier on the internet and I find that everyone has a problem radiator crack leaked into transmission fluid. I have been to the garage. They said there was coolant in the oil transmission. I had to replace the transmission and radiator coolant radiator bypass. It cost me $ 2,408 cad”

NHTSA complaint #10860780, filed 2016-04, 107,500 miles

“On my way to work, 4/13/2014, sunday a.m. Sudden loss of power (no forward motion) I had to immediately pull over to the slow lane and stopped. There was no other option on alameda blvd. All lanes on both sides of the blvd. Had to tow to carson Nissan, they inspected the transmission and said it was bad due to the radiator...... I have noticed other complaints and I am wondering if this site is worthwhile I truly hope so, please and thank you.....”
