“Slowed down to turn and was rear ended by another vehicle, causing damage to back of my car, however the air bags did not deploy at anytime during or after the accident. Multiple complaints during the time I've owned the car: hesitation when going from lower speed to higher speed not accelerating to higher speed, my complaint of engine noise documented in the dealer service invoice on dec.1, 2011; 3 rough, jerky , uneven ride, oil leaks. …”
NHTSA complaint #10585058, filed 2014-04, 29,010 miles“Front passenger air bag and status light indicator malfunction: my wife weights about 105 pounds, when she sits on the front passenger seat, the pass air bag off lights illuminates to indicate the front passenger air bag is off. The airbag should be on with her weight. It starts to happen intermittently since a year ago.”
NHTSA complaint #10557984, filed 2013-12, 24,000 miles“The past 2 weeks the driver-side airbag component continuously blinking. When vehicle is cranked it continuously blinks displaying this symbol & during driving.”
NHTSA complaint #10893027, filed 2016-08, 33,314 miles“The contact owned a 2011 Nissan JUKE. While driving 7 MPH, the air bags deployed inadvertently and caused the contact to crash into a light pole. A police report was filed. The contact sustained injuries to the neck and a concussion that required medical attention. The dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was towed to a salvage yard and deemed a total loss. The manufacturer was notified and informed the contact that they would conduct an investigation. The failure mileage was 81,000.”
NHTSA complaint #11100605, filed 2018-06, 81,000 miles“The passenger airbag disabled light comes on occasionally even when my daughter is seated in the passenger seat. She is approximately 100 pounds. It seems that the light is on more than it is off, which is concerning because in event of an accident, it would mean that the passenger airbag does not deploy.”
