“I had the driver seat frame replaced under warranty in 2011, shortly afterwards, the seat back tilt failed, then shortly there after, the seat forward, back, up, and down failed. A bit later the driver seat frame is again just as bad as when it was replaced under warranty. I'll never buy another Nissan!”

NHTSA complaint #10633387, filed 2014-09, 55,000 miles

“Driver's seat is not securely anchored to floor - it rocks slightly as I operate the vehicle. The dealer has attempted on 4 occasions to remedy this problem, and has not been able to. I do not believe the seat is sufficiently secure to protect me in a serious collision.”

NHTSA complaint #10296402, filed 2009-12, 9,000 miles

“Driver side seat in my Nissan Maxima 2009 has been replaced (the base) and still have an issue with flexing, I am afraid that if there is a major accident the seat is going to come apart and cause serious injury.”

NHTSA complaint #10293152, filed 2009-11, 4,143 miles

“Warranty just expired after 5 years. Few months later, the telescoping steering wheel started making grinding noises and will not telescope back and forth unless I manually push or pull hard. Got quoted $850 for a repair, but I refused to pay that much to get it fixed as it is not my fault. I see many 2009 nissans having this problem and I am extremely disappointed in the manufacturer to not recall this! This might be my last Nissan as I already had 3 Nissan batteries, my alternator replaced and my driver's seat frame replaced! I can't wait until my car loan is paid off!”

NHTSA complaint #10561956, filed 2014-01, 55,000 miles

“In january 2009 I purchased a brand new 2009 Nissan Maxima. In april my interior lights, steering wheel and seat and the heat on my drivers side seat stopped working. I took my car in to the Nissan dealer for repairs, I was told that there was and electrical problem and that they had repaired it. Two weeks later the same thing happened to me when I went to georgia, when I got back to maryland I took my car into the Nissan dealer for repairs again and was told that they could not find anything wrong with my car. …”
