“Initially the problem start with the active cruise control being intermittent. I would be on and then the system randomly error out and disable at highway speeds. Now currently the aeb system is completely not functional at any speed and I suspect the front radar sensor the system uses is faulty. Lots of research online and many many people have the same issue.”
NHTSA complaint #11329337, filed 2020-06, 45,000 miles“My barely 3 year old vehicle recently began displaying a warning that the anti collusion system was not functional and I noticed this also disabled and disengaged the cruise control resulting in sudden deceleration .this problem seems to reset when car is started and reoccurs after 15 or 20 minutes driving . …”
NHTSA complaint #11209456, filed 2019-05, 42,000 miles“As I'm driving down the freeway with my cruise control on, a front collision warning indicator on the dashboard will appear which causes the cruise control to turn off resulting in braking/slowing on the freeway unexpectedly. This is a serious issue and is a concern for me and my family's safety as we are out driving on the roads. When it happens, there is nothing on the road or obstructing the sensor from performing its task.”
NHTSA complaint #11327516, filed 2020-06, 29,000 miles“For the second time my front collision braking system sensor has come on and disengaged my cruise control while I have been traveling at a high rate of speed on the highway. Dealership has confirmed this code when taken into shop. This could cause the car to brake suddenly while driving. Nissan has not issued a recall. I have been quoted over $1200.00 to fix. This has been reported on many occasions. Why hasn't a recall been issued? I am now afraid to drive my vehicle with this faulty sensor.”
NHTSA complaint #11364293, filed 2020-10, 102,000 miles“Unavailable front radar obstruction light comes on and stays on after driving. Problem occurs every time I drive more than a short distance. Light is never on when I start the car.”
