Example complaints
Transmission and drivetrain: “I purchased this vehicle used in april 2018. After 50 days of use, the vehicle would shudder when accelerating at low speeds. This began inconsistently and then happened more often. At the same time another issue began. When I would begin accelerating from a stop, I would press my foot on the gas and the vehicle would not respond and then after a few seconds would jolt forward. The vehicle was taken in and they could not replicate the issue right away but apparently fixed something with the mass air flow sensor. The next day, while driving at highway speeds, it began to shudder more heavily. …”
NHTSA complaint #11111800, filed 2018-07, 62,300 milesFuel system: “Slammed on brakes (emergency stop) center lane of highway due to car in front being cut off. Large truck behind me so I tried to immediately accelerate to avoid being hit from behind. Pressed gas pedal to floor and nothing happened! Totally quiet (electric still engaged) and I was a sitting duck! Fortunately, truck able to swerve into left lane, but it could have been tragic. It took several seconds for me to move from stop and acceleration was as if I was casually pulling away from a stop sign! Never so scared in my life. …”
NHTSA complaint #10563959, filed 2014-02Air bags: “While driving I noticed the front passenger air bag status light* turned on indicating the air bag was turned off while my wife the passenger was sitting in the seat with the seat belt buckled correctly. When I turned off the vehicle and turned it on the air bag status light turned off. 06/06/2014 Nissan recall r14050 reprogram occupant classification system was done.”
