“I purchased a new throttle cable from pierces Nissan on 10/01 and installed it myself. I noticed immediately that the throttle cable was very stiff and hard to move. Before starting my car I checked operation of accelerator pedal and found that the throttle was slow to return to idle position. Upon further investigation I noticed that the new cable was lubricated with a very heavy grease that impeded movement of the cable. During the winter months that followed the throttle returned to idle so slow that it was dangerous to drive the car. …”
