NHTSA complaint #729218, filed 2000-08“The heat shield over the catalytic converter rusted prematurely and fell off. The dealers claimed this part was not essential and no repairs were made. Still concerned me. I also have had an unusual history of electrical related problems, to wit: (1) power window switch replaced twice; (2) instrument light switch; (3) fan switch; (4) alternator, (5) both engine cooling fans. I think there is a primary electrical problem causing all of these failures from the time I got the car, but the dealer says they must be coincidence. …”
