“The front bumper sensor is detecting things in the road that aren't there and automatically applying the brakes on my car. When this happens, there's a loud almost grinding sound and the car brakes very hard. The other issue I'm having is the car will sometimes detect someone in the passenger seat when it's empty and turn on the buckle seat belt light and turn off the air bag off light for the passenger seat.”
NHTSA complaint #11281376, filed 2019-11, 5,600 miles“I have a 2019 Nissan Sentra with only 17,000 miles. The seatbelt indicator light stays on even while wearing the seatbelt. There is no warning chime just the light. However, if there is a passenger the seatbelt indicator light will go off. My concern is for the passenger's safety. I'm concerned if everything will work like it should especially if there happens to be an accident and the airbags deploy.”
