“On oct 7 2016 I was driving up a winding mountain canyon road at about 45 to to 50 MPH I was on an inside turn when all of a sudden the truck just jumped into the oncoming traffic lane , I was able to get it under control and pulled off onto the side of the road, luckily no one was coming the other way at that time ,or there would have been an accident as it jumped 3 or 4 feet into the oncoming lane . …”
NHTSA complaint #11045094, filed 2017-11, 7,700 miles“While driving down the road, I lost all power steering in my Titan Xd. After pulling over and looking under the hood the serp belt was shredded and all tangled up. After further investigation, the 3 bolts that hold the power steering pump bracket to the engine had all broken off. There were multiple other reports of this issue on the Titan Xd forum. Nissan did not want to take care of the issue even though I felt this was a large safety hazard loosing power steering while driving. This truck is very hard to steer with no assist.”
NHTSA complaint #11140257, filed 2018-10, 42,000 miles“At 70k miles the bolts holding the power steering pump bracket to the block either sheared off or fell out on december 15, 2019. This lead to pump falling off and ripping belt apart. Belt is currently wedged in AC compressor pulley. Same issue addressed one year earlier, where one bolt was replaced under warranty.”
NHTSA complaint #11289242, filed 2019-12, 70,000 miles“Ever since I purchased this truck in 2017 I've had problem after problem Turbo actuator has been replaced twice and and is out again and not at cost on Nissan refused to pay for recall after it was replaced . …”
NHTSA complaint #11555803, filed 2023-11“Was driving at about 40 mph with cruise control on, when my passenger and I noticed extreme vibrations and noises with. Began slowing to turn into a gas station just ahead when the clunking became so violent the front of the vehicle was bouncing. As I turned into the gas station, there was a loud bang, smoke billowed from the hood, and the engine stalled leaving me with no power steering. I turned as hard as I could to avoid gas pumps and people fueling their cars, and ended up running up a curb with no power to steer away. No warning lights came on until I came to a stop. …”
