“When backing car makes a moaning noise. I just learned of a recall for front springs coil springs. Recall id 239045. Your site says that my car isnt under it but should be. The car to my knowledge was first sold in florida. I bought it from carmax in va. Florida was not one of the recall states but va is. We use road salt here. It seems to do it in hot weather.”

NHTSA complaint #11210521, filed 2019-05, 65,000 miles

“This car has the NHTSA recall 15v-573 , which is for the front spring suspension. You guys have to do the rear recall for the rear springs because they've rusted. Like in my car, they're rusted and it only has 56,890 miles. So my car is having problems with the rear springs. I'm sending the pictures that I took. Thanks so much.”

NHTSA complaint #11005008, filed 2017-07, 56,900 miles

“Driving along, heard a loud pop as I turned onto a major roadway. The car was pulling very badly to the left side and could barely stop the vehicle. Had to have the car towed home and the struts replaced on the car. After doing some research this seems to be a common and very costly issue. I was quoted $930 to have this issue resolved. Not a happy Nissan owner.”

NHTSA complaint #10723972, filed 2015-06, 142,819 miles

“Part of the coil spring broke from my 2009 Nissan Versa and fell off in my driveway. When I explored where it had come from I realized that both front coil springs had snapped off at the bottom. The first piece of broken coil spring I did not realize had come off and the second one luckily broke off while in the driveway.”

NHTSA complaint #10730154, filed 2015-06, 45,000 miles

“My passenger side front spring broke and speared my tire, luckily while I was parking. When I got it towed to the mechanic, they showed me that the left spring was cracked and ready to break as well. I had to pay to have both replaced. Mechanic informed me that this is a known issue. I'm very concerned that this might happen again while I'm driving with my 8 year old in the car.”
