“Power window device on the drivers side seemed to work fine with the exception of rattling if it was not all the way up or down. And everytime that it would be rolled up it sounded like a chipping noise. I took it into town center Nissan, kennesaw, ga and they replaced it the same day (2-27-06) and it has been working just fine. The vehicle came that way, but I had no issue in getting it replaced.”

NHTSA complaint #10151770, filed 2006-03, 200 miles

“I noticed that the rear view mirror was wobbling side to side while driving. At a stop light I attempted to adjust it. When I touched it the rear view mirror detached from the windshield. At first I thought that the adhesive had failed, but upon further inspection, I found that the glass itself had chipped out. This rear view mirror is equipped with an electronic compass so it has an electrical cord. I had to drive for several minutes with the mirror swinging from this cord. At the next stop light I was able to disconnect the electrical cord and take the mirror down completely. …”

“I have a 2005 Nissan Xterra and the blower motor for my heating and air conditioning went out on it and when I went to the dealership the gentlemen from the parts department told me that this is a issue they have seen a lot lately. With my Nissan not being that old I don't think the motor should be going out.”

NHTSA complaint #10286792, filed 2009-10

“The contact owns a 2005 Nissan Xterra. The contact stated that while driving 25 MPH the sun visor on both the passenger and driver side had fallen almost causing a crash to occur. The contact took the vehicle to the dealer to have the sun visor replaced and the dealer stated that they were unable to offer any assistance. The contact stated this was a safety defect and wants the manufacturer be responsible for the repairs. The failure mileage was 151,000.”
