“I have found that the intake manifold is leaking oil from this particular motor v6-3100 3.1l mfi VIN m in my 1994 Oldsmobile Cutlass supreme. The place that fixed my car had to replace the motor three times before they figured out what was wrong with it. It was consuming too much oil, the oil was completely dry after 1,000 miles, which resulted in the blow-up of my motor. I have tried to contact Oldsmobile to find out if they had any information on it, but no one could help me. This is my last resort. …”
NHTSA complaint #741689, filed 2001-02“While driving smelled fumes inside vehicle. Took vehicle to mechanic, and was informed that fuel line was leaking fuel, and dripping onto exhaust pipe and muffler. It could have caught fire. Fuel line had rusted through materials used on fuel lines. Mechanic states the gas line rusted through due to a poor design and untreated metal gas line.”
