“Ever since 2010, I have been dealing with a serious GM passlock anti-theft system issue. It began with my vehicle not starting one day. It had power; all of the dash lights worked, radio, etc..., but it would not start. At first, I had no idea what to do, but I would always somehow get it to start after a lot of punching of the dashboard and shifting my gears rapidly over and over again. …”

Further we responded to recall n140350 unintended ignition key rotation . The dealer replaced a rubber ring in the key to stop the weight of the keys from turning the ignition off. (I think?) after all that the car does start but occasionally on the highway it will stop running, with no other noticeable problems. …”

NHTSA complaint #10764447, filed 2015-09, 209,067 miles“My blinkers on the driver's side (front and back) began to malfunction and would only work intermittently in 2010. This went on for about a year and then the passenger side blinkers (front and back) began to malfunction in the same manner about 6 months later. This went on with both sides working only intermittently for 2 years. Then, suddenly while driving at night and trying to make a left turn in mid 2012, the passenger side blinker started making very loud electrical glitch sounds and then completely blew and my car died with it. …”
