“Our daughter got her hand caught in the automatic sliding door, inside handle, when she went to open that door to get out of the vehicle. The door does not have any way of sensing that something may be caught in the handle while it is opening so it kept going while her hand was stuck there. Her wrist was broken as a result of this.”

NHTSA complaint #10034088, filed 2003-09, 51,000 miles“The actuator was replaced, due to a recall on that part, but the service manager at the dealership told me the actuator motor now needed replacing, which was not part of the recall, and would cost me $1,100 for the part alone.”

The consumer unscrewed the drivers bolt and saw that it contained rust.
