“While driving, doesn't matter what type of surface all the gauges on my 1996 NEON failed. Sometimes if you tap the dashboard glass that covers the gauges they come back on or if you hit a bump in the road they come back on, but this isn't always the case. This has happened approximately 4-6 times over a six month period starting in may, 2004.”
NHTSA complaint #10093313, filed 2004-09, 26,800 miles“1. Every time it rains outside I have a lake on the inside of the car, mainly on the passenger side in the back and in the trunk which is molding the carpet and items kept inside. 2. The back up light on the driver side doesn't work properly, due to the moisture. 3. The turn signal on the passenger side blinks really fast, and stays on on the inside of the car. 4. The turn signal on the driver side has to be manually turned off after turning left. 5. The steering wheel has locked on a steep turn resulting me going off road, luckily not hitting anyone. 6. Headlights are very poor at night. 7. …”
NHTSA complaint #10086924, filed 2004-08“Everytime it rains water enters vehicle on the driver side front and back. I think the leak is in the door panel because the only place the water accumulates is on the floor in front and back driver side. I have searched everything - you cant see where it comes in but every time it rains I have to bail water out and then for the next week the windows fog up due to moisture in the car. Ive tried spraying wateron the vehical while someone was inside the vehical but still cant determine where the leak is coming from. The mechanics are even perplexed. Any help would be greatly appreciated.”
NHTSA complaint #745341, filed 2001-05“Transmission failed, passenger side door leaks when going through puddles, door panels come off on both sides causing door not to open, trunk leaks when it rains”
