“Yesterday driving home, my car a 2006 ponatic Grand Prix, 3.6 supercharged engine reduce power came on. To find out it was my throttle body, mechanic said its common, when I went to look also online to find out its common with about every car..”
NHTSA complaint #11223025, filed 2019-06, 160,000 miles“Driving down the road early morning or late night my low beams will turn off and come back on 20 minutes later, this is a very big safety issue. I have replaced fuses and everything possible to do with headlights and they still continue to fail. I have had my car looked at by a certified mechanic and they will not mess with it due to the fact that there are to many wiring harnesses. I have read every forum for grand prixs with low beam issues and nothing solves it. This issues needs to be resolved.”
NHTSA complaint #10744493, filed 2015-07, 200,000 miles“I have been having startup issues with my car. When trying to start the car, it makes a clicking sound and will not turn on. I have to jump start my car witb a halo portable charger, every single time I want to drive it. Sometimes my car cuts off and loses power while I'm driving which has almost caused me an accident twice! My car has randomly cut off in motion while I was on the highway, approaching an intersection, and on a rural road in another city. I have called before and was told to file a complaint online. This issue started happening a year ago but only occasionally. …”
NHTSA complaint #11161414, filed 2018-12, 198,000 miles“I was out shopping with my daughter and grandson at our first stop I was having trouble getting the car seat to unbuckle my daughter informs me that it does that quite often some times it takes her 5 minutes or longer to get my grandson out. After almost 5 minutes of fighting with the buckle it finally released. After returning to the car I was not comfortable putting my grandson back in the car seat but figured we would get him out. Our next store we stopped at proved us wrong after 15 minutes and a very upset boy I finally had to cut him out of the straps to get him out of the car seat. …”
NHTSA complaint #10494769, filed 2013-01, 140,000 miles“2006 Pontiac Grand Prix 34,200 miles on it. Brake system light on, antilock brake system (ABS) light on. Traction control light on, service brake/ABS/traction/stability message displayed. This happened all at once this morning, car felt like it didn't want to stop. No warning! I only commute 10 miles to work each day with this vehicle. This shouldn't be happening with a fairly new car right? Traded my camry for this car. Tried to stay american!!! I would also like to state that I had trouble stopping, when trying to turn a corner and apply brake. …”
